What was the first ever role that you booked?
My first acting role was a commercial for Greyhound, and after working on commercials and voice-overs, I landed my first theatrical role in an indie film called Nostalgia.
What’s your favorite part about acting?
That is a tough one, because I love so much about acting. Aside from working with incredible people on different projects, being able to portray different characters is always something I look forward to as an actor.
What was the audition process like for “Pair of Kings”?
Oh it was crazy, but I think that is why I remember pretty much everything about it. I had my initial audition and then many callbacks at Disney, but I remember my final screen test was with Mitchel and Doc. That was a special moment for me as a young actor.
What was your reaction when you found out you got the part?
I remember where I was, what I was wearing, and flipping out in front of everyone. There were a lot of people around me and they were so confused, it was funny.
What’s a typical day on set like?
Well, on P.O.K. we were a big family so every day felt like going to work with your family. It was some of the most special years of my life.
What’s the weekly production process like on a sitcom vs a regular tv show or movie?
As I am currently wrapping up a new film right now, the process is definitely not the same but can be. In my experience with sitcom, we rehearse for a few days before cameras roll, but on a film we are filming every day.
What was it like working on ICarly?
I still talk about it to this day, but iCarly was my first tv show ever, so that alone makes it a special one for me. Working on iCarly the first time around (and then recently) I felt like I was part of their family. You don’t find that on every set, but they are one of a kind and I think so highly of them.
Do you have a favorite memory from that set?
There are many memories I cherish, but creating a rap / rap video with Jennette was probably my top memory.
Any advice you’d give to someone your age who wants to be in this business?
It’s never too late to start. People may tell you otherwise, but you control the outcome.
