Yes, this Texas Chainsaw-like horror porn flick already has a sequel that was filmed while director Ti West was making the original X.
The film starring Brittany Snow, Jenna Ortega and others finds a group young folk making a porno in the 70s. And the country hosts house they’re staying with turn out to be psycho killers!
The reviews online are stellar for it! Currently sitting at 100% as of this writing from top critics. We sure do have a hit on our hands. I get my sneak peak at it on Thursday night and will give my honest review of this film. I am a huge fan of the studio behind its work: A24. Who isn’t a fan of A24?!
Anyways, so there is a prequel that filmed back to back in New Zealand with this film back during the pandemic. This would be the first horror franchise of its kind building for the indie studio behind major art house pieces such as “The Witch” and “Hereditary”.
The prequel is called “Peal” and is in post-production right now. Filmmaker Ti West also confirmed that he’s currently writing a 3rd sequel. Woah, this is going to be HUGE!
