Elizabeth Banks has been cast as our favorite science teacher Mrs. Frizzle.
Universal Studios will produce the movie based off of the hit Scholastic book series which has over 80 million copies in print.
Scholastic Entertainment President and Chief Strategy Officer Iole Lucchese released a statement today and stated the following:
“We are delighted to bring to life the iconic Ms. Frizzle and her zest for knowledge and adventure in a fresh new way that inspires the next generation of kids to explore science and supports the dedicated teachers who help make science real and accessible for young learners every day.”
Now cue the theme song from the original show and listen to it on repeat until the movie comes out!
A release date has not been set for the film.
